A 501c3 Vegan Animal Sanctuary

Topper Holler Animal Sanctuary is a 501c3 non-profit animal and woodland sanctuary in Shepherdsville, Kentucky where abandoned, abused, and neglected small farm animals can find a protected and loving home.

Founders S. Kent Plenge and Mariel Quiñones have dedicated their lives to making people and animals feel safe. In the forests of Bullitt County, Kentucky they have established Topper Holler Animal Sanctuary and made it their ambition to create a refuge to share with animals who need help. Kent and Mariel are vegan for the animals.

It’s all about loving each other!

Topper

A Very Special Dedication

Topper Holler is named after my dog Topper who gave me all his love and loyalty for 8 years.

I adopted Topper from Louisville Metro Animal Services in 2010. Rescuing Topper is one of the best things I've ever done in my life. He was my very best friend and was always at my side. He was with me when I moved into the holler here outside of Shepherdsville, Kentucky in 2017. I named my new home in his honor when I moved here. Topper passed away in spring of 2018. He is laid to rest here in the holler and the name of the sanctuary is in his memory. I miss him every day and hope this sanctuary will serve as a special legacy.

Love you Topper!
